This is one of those Japanese textiles - that although created in the mid to late-mid 20th century - certainly matches in technique and boldness earlier Taisho era ones. It was obviously created by a talented team of craftspeople. The base silk if a rinzu, over which are paterns created with shibori. Some of the florals are competely embroidered, and there is an amount of metallic thread couching. Excellent condition. 15" x 71"
